Since autos continue to compromise water clarity, a coordinated water to land transit system is key to saving Lake Tahoe. This is why Sustainable Tahoe demonstrated water transit at the 2011 Tahoe Expo.
Tahoe can (and should) be the Davos/Silicon Valley of clean water transit and technology, with ‘green’ boat shows as part of the Tahoe Expo. We have the engineer, manufacturing and demonstration capability right here in the region! And the designer of the largest ferry in the world who lives right here in Carnelian Bay… can make it happen!
